TRAP ACCIDENT NEAR KARORI.

Miss Henry Seriously Injuiel A serious trap accident occurred on tho Karori road yesterday afternnou, by which Miss Henry, (eldest daughter of the late J)r Henry), her sister, Miss G, Henry, and Mrs and Miss Graham were injured. It appears that tbe ladies left Wellington in a trap for Karori about 2.-15 p.m, Alias Graham driving, Going down Baker's Hill the horse took fright, and bolted. The trap turned over, and the occupants were all thrown out, and fell against the cliff. Mr Knight, of Wellington, who had seen the accident, rendered the ladies such assistance as lay in bis power, and eventually bad them conveyed to Mrs Graham's residence in a cab, which had been attending a funeral, Fortunately Dr Anson was on his way to see a patient at Karori, aud he was immediately called in to attend to the sufferers, Dr Adams and Dr King were also sent for and arrived shortly afterwards.

Examination showed that the chiof sufferer by the accident was Miss Henry, who was found to have received concussion of the brain. She wasforsomo time unconscious, and showed rather unfavourable symptoms but after treatment appeared to get considerably better,uii'l latestaccounts are that she is progressing as favourably as can be expected.

Mrs Graham received an injury to her side, back, and shoulder, but as far as could be ascertained no bones wore broken, although the patient was suffering from a considerable shock to the nervous system. Miss Geraldine Henry's most serious injury was a largo bruise on ilio top of her bead, otherwise she apprared to be all right, Miss Graham had received a black eye in the fall, and of course was muoh shaken. Drs. Anson and Adams returned to town in the evening, leaving Dr, King in attendance Tho trap was smashed in the accident.— jV, Z, Times.

Latest (By Telegraph,—Press Association). Wellington, Wednesday, The ladies injured in yesterday's trap acoident at Karori, are reported to be progressiug favourably.
