Eketahuna Road Board.
Monthly Meeting?!^ The ordinary monthly meeting of the Eketahuna Road Board was held on Saturday. Present: Messrs. T. Parsons (chairman), Dowsett, Bayliss, Mowbray, Anderson and Matbeson. Correspondence was received from Mangaone School Committee requesting the Board to fence the gravel reserve.—Resolved tbat the fence be erected as requested, From J. Tan, Newman, complaining of water flooding his section from a drain,—Resolved that Mr Greville inspoofc and report on Jrom Mr Moss, 'informing the Board that contractors had fallen several trees on to his fence, causing considerable damage.—Resolved that Mr Moss be informed that'his remedy is against tho contractors.
From D. McGill, requesting the , Board to instruct the engineer to | examine peg so as to allow him to finiab his contract,
From the Bank of New Zealand, acknowledging £25912s 6d. A. Pryde wrote, complaining that ft gravel pit lnd been dug in front of bis gate by tbe contraotor, Resolved that the BoarfHcoept the £350 from the Government for the Hawera and other roads.
Prom the Treasury Department re loans of i SOO and £BOO.
From E. Morris, Newman, asking it there was any money available to repair the road leading to his section,-Resolved that Mr Morris' request be heU over till next meeting,
Mr Breen waited on the Board to know why his tender for the com» I pletion of McGiO's contract lud not been accepted. It was pointad out Mcßarron's tender being the lowest, it \m accepted. . The Engineer's monthly report was read and approved. was resolved that wages due on McGill's contract be paid as far as funds will pormit.

That owing to the recent fires the rangers be informed that they must not impound till after 16th May. That the Engineer be iipnitfto " call tenders for 15 chains'metalling * on Hawera Road.
Accounts were passed for pavmont, and the meetin< adjourned.
