Further Trouble Expected,

Auckland, Saturday. The HeraM'sSamoan correspondent writes that thoAana rebels have returned to their first positiou they had at F&leasin and have entrenched themselves. The Goyerumont peace ovortiu'es will only be accepted conditionally on the rebels being allowed to retain their arras and ammunition but it is not likely that the Government will a«reo, and ft is expected that an attack will be made in Faleasin. Atudhas openly avowed his intention of coming to Apia, ostensibly as a nentral force if fighting continues. Should thia intention be carried out serious trouble will inevitably ensue as a rupture with Nuamanago is certain, The Chief Justice Ide addressed a Council of Samoan Chiefs stating in defiance of the recent law, heads had been taken in warfare and later on offenders would bo punished. The new law. is generally regarded as a miscbievious one and tbo Chief Justice's remarks are condemned,
