FEATHERSTON TOWN BOARD.
(From Our Own Correspondent). The usual monthly meeting of the above was bold last evening, when all the members were present except Mr Beel. . The Treasurer reported a debit balance of £l9 8s 10s, Accounts to the amount of £l9 15b 7d were passed for ' payment. An application from the Football Club for the use of the Eeoreation Reserve for the present season was .granted. Receipts for the evening were 17b 6d. The ranger, reported impounding 7 cows and 8 horses, The colleotor reported collecting Ml 8s 9J ; rate outstanding, £l9. Total collected for the year, £122 6s 4d. A notice of motion was given that . the rates be the same as last year, i.e., general, fd in theJE.j library, Id in the L ■ MrW, Toogood drew the Board's attention to the faot that all the books t in the.library bad been read, and no funds fare available to prooure a fresh supply He suggested that the .library db closed for two years, Attention was called to the bad condition of the Greytown-Tauheie-nikau toad.
