The Egmont Farmers' Union Limited' Hawera, March 29. We held our usual monthly sale at Okaiawa on tbs 22nd inßt, when Very few cattle were yarded, but a fair number of sheep. 1 Earthquakes and Waterspouts, (By Telegraph.—Press Association). Kmkouka, Monday. There was a sharp earthquake shock at 1.45 a.m., which lasted about 45 seeonds, the dircotion being east and west. Waterspouts were seen off here yesterday, travelling from the east. One appeared to burst on the coast about twenty miles north. (ByTelegraph—Own Correspondent.) Feathemton, Monday. A severe shock of earthquake was felt at 1.45 this morning from the south east, the duration being 20 seconds.
