The Temperance committee was elected en bloc for Mataura, and a reduction of all classes of licenses' was carried, tbe Prohibitionists polling an actual but not a three-filths majority, For Wakatipu - the returns arc not yet complete, but the Local Option Foil 13 expected to be ineffective, TheDunedinandCaversham returns leave matters practically unaltered, Olutha has eleoted the Prohibition Candidates by enormous majorities, ranging from 1754 to 1701, while the moderates polled 617 to 581,
