PAHIATUA NOTES.

(From Oar Own Correspondent,) A small three roomed cottage situated in the suburbs of Pahiiitua was completely destroyed by tiro early on Saturday morning, ic was unoccupied and insured for £25 and owned by Mr J. Sterling. It was rented, the tenant arranging to go in on Monday morning. The doors and windows were thoroughly Becure, and the origin of the fire is a complete mystery. A fine serviceable rain fell here, lasting all Sunday, Pastures will be much benefitted thereby.
