CARTERTON RIFLE CLUB.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) A committee meeting of the Carerton Rifle Club was held last night. Present—Mr W. E. Drake (in the chair), and Mosara Cormack, J, C. Beed, J. Brown, W, Dudson, and P. O. Rutherfurd (Secretary/, It was proposed by Mr P. 0. Rutherfurd that the opening day be fixed for, Thursday week, Bth inat.-Socondod by Mr Dudson and carried. Proposed by Mr Cormack and seconded by Mr P. O. Rutherford that members from other Wairarapa Rifle Olubs be invited,-Carried, Proposed by Mr Dudson and seconded by Mr Eeid, that there be a Married v. Single match.—Carried. Proposed by Mr Dudson and Seconded by Mrßoid that the first Khot be iired by a lady.—Carried. Hit was arranged that the opening Re range should take place at 1.30 HL and vehicles to leave tho bank the butts at 1 o'clock,
