DEATH OF MR HcSHANE.
(From Our Own Correspondent,) It iB with deep regret that we record the death of Mr Charles McShane, who died at his residence, Featherston, at two o'olock yesterday afternoon. Deceased was found unconscious in bed shortly after seven O'olock on that morning, and assistance wdb immediately oalled in, Drs, Bey and Johnßton were soon in attendance, and fund deceased sufferill!; from clotted blood on the brain, he apparently having been unconscious frs about midnight. Everything possible was done, but without avail, for ha expired at t#o o'clock without regaining consciousness, Deceased was born in Nelson, and has been agent for the Bank of New Zealand in Featherßton for fourteen years during which time he has identified himself with every work for the public good, and hae made an extensive cirole of friends throughout the Valley. He was 45 years of age. and leaves' a widow and seven daughters to mourn bis loss. His remains will be interred in the Feaihereton cemetery at 9,80 o'clock to-morrow morning- __„
