Mr P, H. Wood's stock sale yesterday at the Taratalii yards was largely attended and the yards were well filled with stock of all classes. About 4000 sheep and 120 head of cattle came forward, although the bulk of the stock was sold the bidding was far from epiritod and little or no improvement in price can be reported. Probably buyers are holding baok for the Martin borough sale next Wednesday. Only about half tho stock yarded was sold undor the hammer, but a great many lines changed hands privately after the sale. The following is a quotation of pric«B realized: —Sheep, lambs iu the wool,to 4s lid; do shorn, from 3i to 4s (id;, store ewos, 3s to 7s; 2 tooth ewes, l>! /8j; do wothors, : 5s Bd to 7s 7s; culled owes, h 8d to 3s j rams, i guinea to 2 guiuoas. Cattle, calves, 21s to 28s; skim milkers 10s; springing heifois, 80s to 105s j cows, 60s to 87a lid. Figs, to 14s. Horses, no demand.
