InspeO' tor Hicksonagain declined toreoognise Tawhaio, whereupon Kaihau euid nothing further could be done till he again consulted Tawhaio. A general hand shaking followed, Kaihau bade adieu to Inspector Biokson who returned the greeting.' The natives galloped away, and Mr Hickson and pis force is returning to Auckland. It is believed that it was Kaibau's intention tp simply harass (be Government, and His feared that the inci dent may be repeated shortly. -
