FEATHERSTON NOTES.

Another particularly breezy meeting of the Pi'ntheratoa Town Board was held last evening, when it was decided that tbo new Town Hall face the Square. It was suggested that the architect be communicated with, to the effect that the poroh would not be required as the front of the build, iiig would not be subject to prevailing winds if it faced the Square. Mr Reynolds proposed (hat the Chairman and Mr Bear! write to Watchiteot. The Chairman said that ho could not act. with' Mr'Searl, and grfiitleman'replied' that (hdChai:i|i'.'uhjtl t'a|en the' words out' of his mouth, as he"' could not act with Him. After a heated discussion the rneetiqg broke 'up in disorder. '
Yesterday ereujng as t, raw was driving Mr A, Matthews'pair ol horses" tq the Railway Station, at Featherston, he was thrown out of tho vehicle on turning a corner, and received some rather severe cuts on the faco and head. The horses bolted but werg stopped before any serious damage was done, Two bolts were broken, aud two of the horse's shoes pulled off,
