A public meeting was held in the Masonio 1M this evening of sympathisers with the Ilev. S. J, Neill, who has been suspended by the Presbyterian General Assembly, when he was presented wiih»naddrps3of sympathy signed by 1336 persons, of whom 700 are at the Thames, the rest in various pails of tho Colony. Mr Neill, in the course of bis reply, entered at length, into iho case of the' heresy built,' and said ibe Church should be reform' d from within rather than from without,

It isundoistood thnt Mr Neill will not coutesr, the decision of the Assembly, but will comment unsectarian services at the Thames and Auckland.
