Mr F. H. Wood reports of the above Fair as follows :-'Xhe atten« dance of the public was equal to previous years, and the rams yarded exceeded thosß of any previous year in number, the quality and condition also showing an improvement, But the bidding was decidedly lacking in spirit, anil a great many of the rams, more especially those of an inferior quality, were passed in, In Lincolns Mr 1). McMaster topped the market with a range of from 3 to 7 guineas; Mr A. G, Rimer's from 2to sgs; Mr W. 0. Buchanan's 1 to 2{gs. In Bomney Marsh Mr A, G, Pilmer topped the market with a ram bred by Mr A. Matthews, which realised 8-Jga, In Southdowns Mr W, McKonzio topped the market at ige. A large number of rams of all classes wore sold on behalf of various ven : dors at from i a guinea to 2gs.
