THE WOMEN'S FRANCHISE.

Returiof Women Voters, The Clerk of tyrita some tinio since instructed the returning officers of the various, electoral districts to furnish him with a return of the number of women voters on the rolls of their several districts, and the number of women who voted at the late general election. These returns have now come in from all the electoral districts hut 18, and they are highly interesting (says the Kew Zealand 'limes), They afford conclusive proof in the first placo that the women of the Colony were fully alive to the importance of tho franchise, and prompt to exerciso it, A table shewing the number of women voters, the number of women who voted, and tbe number liable to be struck off the rolls in the various districts from which returns have come to hand is appended:— Provincial District of Auckland (15 members).
