Monthly Meeting. ' j , The ordinary monthly meeting of the Ekotabnua Rnad Board was held \ on Maturdiiy last. ■ Present, Messrs 1 T. Parson, (Chairman,) Alex. Ander- 1 bod, Matheson, Mowbray, Bayliss, ' Dowfiott, and Neilson. ' The minutea of the previous meeting were read aud confirmed. [ Correapoudence wan rcoeived from settlors at Newman requesting the Board to expend a sum of money in c repairing -roads in the township. ( Resolved thai £5 out of rates be spent c on the work referred to. 8 Prom several settlers of Parkville 'j requesting the Board to form a pack t track. Resolved that Engineer see to j the proposed work and he authorised f to expend £lßlss on same. t Prom J. B. Thompson re making a 6 pack track (if bis property,—Resolved t that tenders be called for the work. a From settlers of llawera, calling t the Board's attention to the necessity h of having the toad repaired before the h winter sets in, and also drawing at. v tention to the dangerous state of the o BDSpension bridge, as tlm wires have 2 become strained. -Resolved that the r work bo seen to.
