We quote; 12 tolßmonths ! steers, £2 12a 6d to £2 18s; mixed j yearlings, £2 Is 6d to £2 14a, oalyea and weaners, 18s to £1 10s;' empty cows, £8 88 to £4;' cows and heifers jin calf; £3 6s 6d to £4,155; 12 to 18 month heifers, £2.7s to £3.' ■•'.'..
Wo had a very 'large entry of cattle at the Glover Road Yards, Hawera, on Wednesday, tbe 24th iost., there being a good mixture of all olasses yuhlnd/ The attendance wns'nol so large as "usual, but this may be accounted for by the bulk of the farmers being busy harvesting, but most of those present were anxious to purchase, and prices throughout were, if | anything slightly better than previous rates. : We quote: Fat bullocks, £6l 6s; forward bullooks, £4 7s 6d to £4l7s 6d; 18 mouths steers, £2lss 6s to £8 Is; fatcows, £Bl7s 6d to £4 4s; cows and calves, £3 ISs'to £4 Is; cows and heifers in calf, £8 9s. to £4 6s; empty cows, £3.2b fid to £4 ss.
