Thomas Flannery, aged 15 years, only son of Mr Flannery, senior warder at Mount Eden Gaol, was accidentally killed at Helensville, He went up on Tuesday for his holidays, and next day went with MrKavanagh into the bush to get a load of sleepers with a three-horse team. Coming out of the bush, the load capsized, and a sleeper struck young Flannery on the head, killing him instantly,
