—— ■ 1 Monthly Meeting. j The ordinary monthly meeting of jj tbe Trustees was held in tbe Borough v Council Chambers to-day. Present: r —Messrs R. T. Holmes (Chairman), 1 t R, D. Dagg, Feist, W. ' e CORRESPONDENCE, Correspondence was read in respect of tbe Noble case, and the Secretary was further instructed in the m tter. POLICE REPORT, The Sergeant of Police reported the case of a man named Cameron who was in great want, and on account of bis wife's health he could not leave' home to look for work. Cameron waited on.the Trustees and asked if they could assist him to obtain employment on a station so that he eould get a livelihood • and be enabled to prooure medicine for his wife. He was a painter by trade, but could only obtain a job now and again. On the motion of Mr Dagg it was resolved to enquire into the man's character, and if found satisfactory, application to be made to Mr H. Beetham or other atationholdera for employment. OEh"EBAL, \ The action of the ohairman and secretary in respect of the casual cases 1 , dealt with was confirmed, and f the ordinary oases ordered to be conn ® tinned, j t The Mflretsry of the Wariganui ( Society {wrote, forwarding a cheque ( due on behalf of the Williams family. ( •the letter stated that it was hoped this family would Boon move on and■ give some other society a show. A letter was received from Mr , Riiddiok, Oamaru, which gave some ( particulars with regard to the move- . meats of the man Reynolds. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the Wellington Sooiety to I whom it appeared the man was obargeable. It was resolved to prove in the , bankrupt estate of Percy Cobb against t whom the society had a claim. ' The Williams family wrote stating 1 that they were in want of clothing, and the application was referred to . the Dorcas Sooiety. ' - The Ssoretary of tho Ohiro Home . wrote, declining again to receive Mrs Weaver into the Home. The Ssoretary was instructed to Write to Mr Anderson, stating that the amount of trust money to tbe credit of tbe ohildren of tbe late Clif- 1 ton, of Carterton, was now £3 2s Bd, and this Will carry them on till Ist February, at which time the Societies liability will cease, they then being' grandmother. The cheque for the IfflMntwas also ordered to be forwarded ivneit^due, The, Treasurer's statement's • received, .Aocounts amounting £Bl Gs 8d were passed for paymenf™ The meeting then adjourned..
