EKETAHUNA ROAD BOARD.
Monthly Meeting. The regular meeting of the above Board <ras held on Saturday last, Present—Messrs Parsons (chairman) T. Baylies, Dowsett, and M Neilson. The minutes of the last meeting were and confirmed, Correspondence was received from J, Aitkin re plan of the Makakahi bridge,—From W. Herbert drawing attention to the bad state of Junjar's Boad. From J. Clulow re lease of gravel reserve near Hawera.-From J, Colville, asking permission to take a few loads of gravel from pit at Hawern,— The request to not granted until the present contract is finished.—fromE. Breen, requesting an extension of time in his contt act for the delivery of culvert timbor.—From J, Hare re damago done to corner of his seotion, —From the Colonial Treasurer re\ payment of £IOOO loan. A deputation of Hawera settlers waiied on the Board re state of their road,—Resolved that the Clerk apply for £IOO, being the 10 % due on Makakahi bridge road. . • The EDgineer'B.uionlnly report was read and adopted. It was reßolved to draw the County Council's attention to the bad state of the road through Newman, and that they be requested to put it in order as soon as possible. The meeting then adjourned.
