WESLEYAN CHURCH.

The chureh social held last evening was a great success, the sohoolrooin being crowded chiefly with adult mem hers of the congregation. Mr U. K. Danioll presided. Dukea retired while the congregation considered the question of Ministerial supply for the ensuing year, Mr Owen moved and Mr Bulpitt seconded "That the quarterly meeting bo requested to luvit" the present Minister to main for a fourth year," 'I bis was carried without a dissentient. It is therefore the intention of the Quarterly meeting to giro Mr Dukes an iuvihtion for a fourth year. On returning to the meeting, the rev. gentleman was informed of the result of the vote. Mr Dukes said, in reply, that he gratefully appreciated micfi an expression of their esteem and confidence ns tho vote OiMiveycd, and although he had, since the meeting commenced, received a tolograin inviting him to a circuit in the South Island yot, as tho congregation was unanimous that he should remain, he would much prefer to do so, and if appointed by the conference he louked lorwnrd to a' year of successful labour amongst them.
