01ET881OS-XMBDAY, (Before Mr T. Hutchison, R.M.) Anna Christina Neilsoti v, Honry was an assault case. It for complainant, tjojypMHfdleton (instructed by Mr loheson) for defendant. The alleged assault was committed on the 29th August last, Anna Christina Neilson deposed that she wae residing with her daughter at Carterton, and on tho dale mentioned, when she was going to bed, her doe was barking. Her family has been subjected to previous annoyance by the defendant, Christina Bartlett, daughter of the informant, corroborated the evidence of the informant. By Mr Middletonj—l have not used bad language to the defendant, but he has frequently used had language to my ohildren, Anne Conway, daughter of the last witness, corroborated the evidence previously given. After hearing tbe statement of the defendant a line of 40s and coats was recorded against the defendant.
