DEATH OF MR W. H. LEVIN.

Wellington, Friday.

Mr W. H. Levin, of Messrs Levin k Co, one of the most prominent men in Wellington, died this morning from hemorrhage of the brain, accompanied by pleurisy. He had been ill for sofflo days, but nothing, jerioua was expected till his attack took a sharp turn yesterday. Five doctors were in attendance at the last, but their efforts were unavailing. All tho flags (n tho oity are at half and a number of business places olosed immediately the news was known, Mr Levin has been 5 member of Parliament, and the Public Library here is duo to his initiativo goneroaity,
