NORTH WAIRARAPA BENEVOLENT SOCIETY.

Monthly Meeting. The ordinary monthly meeting of the benevolent Trustees was held this (Thursday) morning. Present: Messre 11. T. Holmes (chairman), Feist, W. Perry, and Dagg. MINUTES. Tbe minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, CORRESPONDENCE. A letter was received from the Wellington Benevolent Board re contribution on account of the old men sent from Maatertoo and dating thattbey could not admit Mrs Weavers to tbe Home. Tfcere was not an institution in Wellington in which fluob a case could be treated.

The Chairman said that they had an offer from a Mrs Gregory to take charge ot Mrs Weavers, and he suggested tbat a fortnights notice to the family be given eo that tbey could got employment, and then put the mother with Mrs Gregory,

On the motion of Mr Feist seconded hy Mr Perry, This course was adopted. The aotion of the Secretary in respect of casual casos dealt with was confirmed.

Dr Beard reported that there was no necessity to send Mrs Hedger to tbo hospital., A report was received in respect nf the old man Beynolds. He had been working on Boam.es' Island from where be went to Cbrittchurcb, and from that place direot to Masterton, He had nob—sofar as could be ascertained—been in receipt, of relief from any Benevolent Society, The Secietary reported the balance at the bank to be £l5O 5s 7d. Outstanding cheques would reduce this to £13918s Id, Petty cash showed a credit of ±IOO. The ordinary pases werß considered and ordered to be continued. Accounts amounting to £4317s ad were passed for payment, Jn reply to Mr ])agg, tbe secretary stated that no further portion of the money paid to Noble bad been refunded. Tho secretary was instructed to make another Application for the amount owing.
