Messrs A.bwbam & vWilliams report at their fortuightly Btook sale oa Wednesday as follows:—We had a very large entry in stock of all classes, specially oattlo, the yards.beihg taxed to their utmost capaoity; Prices were firm. Beef ;tobb 10s to 15s per head. In.sheep : the entries wer9 mostly fot ewes. 'Forward ewes and hoggets all selling. Inheeh JJullookß ranged from £0 Sa for plairi(fc£7 lss for gaodquality; cows, £slos to £0 10s; store bullocks, £5 to £d 15a; young steers, 50s to 80s; 18 months, 58s j yearlings, 40s to 50j ; calves, 30a; store heifers, 70s;dairy heifers, 80s to 955; cows, £4 ! to £6; fat ewes, lOsu'd; store, 7s Gd'; hoggets, 9s to 10s. Keichenback's dairy of 88 cows ranged from £5 to £8 6s, averaging over £6 per bead; horse, trap, and hamesß, ±'29 ; bulls, from 8 to 4 guineas; his' farm of 109 acres was offered and passed at £8 pet acre, : Mr P. H. Wood reports of the stock Bale held by ; him athisTaratabi Yardsyesterday as for this time of the yeaTUw fairly numeroun, both in sheep and cattle, the' quality also being above the average. Tho attendance of buyers was good, but bidding was not particularly brisk, Prices realized were about equal to laßt sale, and are quoted as under:—sheep: Fat wethers, 14s 7d to 15s; store wethers, 10s 6d to lis jemptjnewea, 9a ;«vrei in lamb,Bs id to 10s Od-.-ewes and lambs 10s Bd. Cattle; Dairy cows, 528 6d toiGOs; store do 40s to 60s j springing heifers 80s to 87s; dry do, 62a6dto76sjcalves,.-80s to 35a; 7.months old grade Bhorthorn boll, 100s; other buihj, 20s to 50s.
