CORRESPONDENCE.
The Reason Why. [To tue Editob.] Sir,—Seeing a letter in yesterday's issue reflecting on the action of (bp Volunteer Band in connection with the charitable concert, I may say I had no communication on the subject from the promoters. Your correspondent, under cover of.his mm deplume, evidently is doing bis best to causo slrifo between the hitherto friendly bands. The Voluntepr Bandhas never refused toplay for any charitable object, as the public well know, It would he a. waste of words to further reply to Buoli scurrility, as the-writer is evidently ashamed to let the public see liia name at tbe foot of it.—l ain, ; eto., James Candy, • Volunteer Band.
