BOY BURGLARS.

Two boy-burglars wero arresledi list night by a detectiyp. They were sleeping in it packing cnae in tlie Cilv Market yard, covered with sacks, and part of the proceeds of robberies wero beside them. Thev too aged 9 and 9| years respectively, and bud not been home for days, and were sleeping out, They entered the Oily market on Tuesday night and stole £2 worth from J. Green, dealer, Walker's, a bird fancier's shop, opposite, also was gone through on last Sunday. They hud entered the premises of Warnock Bros, Durham street; Potter and Co., ndjaoent, and Donald and Edenborough's slorei where they hud a good feed of fruit. In other places they only knocked things about. They broke crockery and strewed soap in the backyards of Warnock's and cases of bonbons at Green's On the floor at Walker's ilw bird fancier's,. a valuable dove was found with its neck wrung, and eggs, worMi a guinea a setting, had apparently been taken up and prM at the birds inside, The toys wero charged to day at the Police Com t, and havo made a clean breast of everything. The accused were of a ragged, street urohin typo-dirty, yet intelligent-looking- and scarcely tall enough to look over the dock. , Inspector Hickson applied for a remand, as several stolen articles wore missing, He would in all probability afterwards apply to have the boys sent to an industrial school. The policohave other charges against the lads, as the detectives found in their possession also three tobacco pouches filled with Bird's eye tobacco, a valuable whalebone walking-stieAand other articles, which as yet await bwnera. The lads have further confessed to dealing tobacco,
