A CURIOUS CASE.
The Ring Mystery Cleat ed, (By Telegraph,—Press Association.)
Wellington, Thursday.
A day cr two ago a man named Gallicbam was before the Court accused ofslealing a weddingting from Messrs Hosie and Bell, jewellers, where he bad offered a ring for sale. After leaving the stop thoy uiisaed a similar ring. The I{,M, dismissed the case when brought before him, 'i bio morning MrHosie informed His Worship that be had found the ring offered by Gallicbam, in a drawer into which it hod rolled. It is supposed that tbo latter bad picked up Mr Hosie's ling, which was almost identical, in mistake for bis o*n, but it was evident tin innooent man liad had a narrow escape ficui passing some days in gaol,
