MAURICEVILLE ROAD BOARD
Ordinary Meeting
Tbc ordinary meeting of the Mauricevilie Boad Board was held on Saturday, the 2Gth inst. Present— Mggrs (J. Forsberg (Chairman), C. fait/P, Anderson, and J, Bannister.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and correspondence outward. Correspondence nas read from tho Paymaster-General, advising the Board of second and final advances on £IOOO loan for Mount Bruce road, and payment of subsidy on general rates collected^ The Eeceiver of Land Bevenue forwarded schedules of accrued thirds.
A petition was received from Messrs Dngg and other settlers interested, desiring the Board to raise a loan to form Dngg's road. • A special order was madestrikinga special rate of 12-5 din the £oo properties abutting on Mount Bruce road for ro-payment of loan of £250, It was arranged that tho Chairman should call for tenders for the unfinished portion of Mt Bruce road after consulting with tho Engineer, It was decided to appoint Messrs Ehodes and Neville as rangers on the roads in the Mauriceville district.
Cheques to the amount of £l5B Is fld were passed for payment. Bates collected since laßt meeting £2 8 18s.
