Monthly fleeting. i The regular monthly meeting of ( the Masterton Koad Board was held ( Saturday last, Present:—Messrs j McKenzie (in the chair), Cameron, t Harris, and Holmes. t MINUTES, f The minutes of last nieoting were l read and confirmed, ; DEPUTATION, t Messrs G. H. Welch, Wrigloy and Bertelson waited on the Board wit,'i , reference to clearing slips on the Bluff | road. It vas pointod out that the j boundary between the sub-divisious 1 ] aud 2 was this point unsatisfactory, , and it was proposed to endeavour to j arrive at a settlement. Thedepota- - tion then withdrew. GENERA!.. | It was decided to write to the Com- , missioner asking his consent to a proposed alteration in tho expenditure , of thirds. Messrs Harris and Cameron were appointed to interview Mr Eikinsand use their endeavours to persuade him to do something towards protecting the river bank above the Potairau Road. Tliu application of F. H. Hosking to have liia name placed on the rate roll in plaw of W. H. Hosking was granted. It was decided that the Bum of £75 per annum, formerly paid to tho Clerk be paid in future into the County funds, The report of the Finanoe Committee recommending accounts for payment amounting to £lB2 7s lid vas adopted. Messrs Mawley, Macrae, aud Hos-. king waited on tho Itoard as a deputation re raising a loan for the deria--1 tioD of the Wangaebu Boad, After a 1 long discussion it was deoided that the necessary atepa bo taken to raise the loan as soon as the petition therefore is received, Certain alterations to (boundaries ■ between sub-division 1 and 2 were ■ agreed to, and it was decided, to ' expend £lO at onco In clearing slips I on tho Bluff road. i Tho Engineer's report was read and • adopted, 1 It was resolved that the Board join I , with tho Kangitumau School Comi mittee in fencing the School Reserve, ' providing the work does not cost more ) than 15s per chain. i The Clerk was instructed to request :i the County Engineer to invite tenders , for the work to be done on the Dor- ', set's and Kaka-amu roads out of the i £7OO loan, i Tho meeting thon adjourned,
