Applications were received from Messrs E. P. Pragnell and 0. Hughes, asking to have their names added to. the Burgess Lißt.—Granted. y\ ," Prom the Maftertoa.TcHty/fjteit s ' Tiusteeß, stating their »ijlingness.to allow the Council to lease an extra chain .of land, as required for Fire : Brigade purposes at a rental of £2 . 10s, making £l7 10s in all for thesection, and also agreeing to contribute towards a report on the Wai-" poua river.—The offer of the extra' pieoo of land was acoepted. Application was made by the Masterton Munioipal Fire Brigade for payment of the usual half-yearly grant of £1210« for plant and uniform fund.-Granted.. ::
