At Stratford there is to be another entertainment a fortnight hence, when a presentation is to be made to Mr Bayley. It was always understood that the reception of Mr Butland on the West Cor at Would beol themost enthusiastic ty ( ie. It has begun, Tho West Coaster reaohed Greyuioath—the first stage of his journey-on Wednesday, and the Seoretary of the New Zealand Union has received the following telegram from Mr Wiokea, Secretary of tho West Coast Union:-" Greymouth, 9th August.—Sir Butland arrived to-day, and was met by a cheering crowd, As the guest of the Union, Hewascongratulatedby tbe President (Mr Boyd}, and his health, together with that of the New Zealand Union, drunk amid cheers. At Hokitika he will be made a- presentation andentortained at a 'social,'"

Wairarapa Union intend to Send down a senior team to play against: Wellington at Petone early in September, It is probable that the junior representative match between the two districts will be fixed for the same day i.n the Wairarapa. The TYhareama team tour the Wairarapa and Bush districts next] week, On Tuesday they play the first of Greytown, and on Thurpday the Tradesmen's Club at Masterton. The following team will represent Greytoffn:—H. Udy, Jackson, flawkin's, Hawke,. Maguire, Knowles, E. and D, Udy, Welch, 0. and A, Beard, Olliver, Ferrick, C. Udy, and E, 'Smith. 1
