Mr F, H. Wood held his usual fortnightly itnok sale at .the Taratahi yards yesterday, and reports of the same as follows i—More stock oaine forward than had been advertised, Over 2,000 sheep, aud a considerable number of sheep being yarded.'-' The bulk of the sheep were ewes in lamb, onwhich it appeared that the owner had placed too high.a. reserve, as although a large number of buyers .Were present,, only a; few changed hands under the hammer. The competition for wethers and hoggets was fairly good, and bidding brisk, Cattle maintained previous rates, and al! sold readily, Prices realised are quoted as ua4«r, Vii?, ir?SHsifp} Ewei ia ljpib,

Mesßra Abraham and Williams report at their Miattm Stock Sale on Wednesday that owing to all the rivers boing flooded :ra»ny entries in oattle could not be brought forward, although fully 100 head tho bulk of which sold, the rates through scarcity of grass and other causes making prices easy. Dairy heifers ranged from: £4 7s 6d to £5 10s; stores 70s to 80s; dairy cows, medium, from £4los to £5 16s. No 'sheep were penned, : f ' •
