Tbo Mangatanoko river, wliilo in high flood on Sunday last cut into a corner of Bogie's property, opraed a channel through the bush thence tbiough Hall's property, striking an old channel across Hall's road, end thenco through the cratro of Hughes' land and finally again into tho proper obannel at the south of Mangatainnko 'v street. It has completely divided /Hughes' low lying lunds, and imymense piles of timber b«ve been lodged in the ford at the eud of Mangataiooko road, the dwnage ti the property of the sottlurs mentioned i 8 almost incalculable, This divergenou has quite settled the question of a bridge site leaving the only available one, that at the ond of Mangahao Road.
