London Market Report. Wool.—The third series of Colonial wool sales openod on the 00th June with an average atiend.inoi' of buyers. Competition was irregular, the biddings being marie with c jnsidi-r. able hesitation. A litil— more animation has'.since manifested itself,especially where orossbreds aie concerned, and nntwitb-tanding tho large supplies on hand they are eagerly competed for, On account of the total absence 'of American demand superior, Victorian wool is still n'glectcd, and it will be difficult to effect satisfactory sales for this description, Compared with tho closing rates of April-May series, prices show an average decline on most discriptions of merino produce of 5%, Cmsshieds of medium to good quality are without change, but the lower qualities are rather weaker, and may be quoted from par to 5% easier. The lotal offered to date is 40,282 bales, of which 4129 'bales, 10*25% hare been bought in The total availablo for tho series, aftor adding 80,000bls held over fiom last series and deducting 1)4,000 bales forwnrrled direct to consumers, will be about 376,929 biles. |

Tallow,—There was a better demand at to-day's pttblio auction, and the bulk of the quantity offered was cleared at an all round advance of 3d to Gd per cwt, Jous Holmes & Co., Grey-stteot, Wellington, and at Blenhdm..
