The Railway Employees Insurance Bill.
Deputation to the Premier. (By .Telegraph.—Press Assooiation), WmiiHOioH, Wednesday. A deputation representing the Amalgamated llooiety of Railway Servants waited on the Premier today with reference to the late Conference on the Bailway Insurance Bill, Mr Hoban, president of tbe Christchurch branch, who was the chief spokesman, said the delegates to that Conference did not represent the views of the general body of railway employes, and stated that the attenuates at all the public meetings held throughout the Colony to choose delegates would not total • one hundred. He asked that a copy of the Bailway Commissioner's Amended Insurance Bill and voting papers he sent to every Railway Servant in the colony, 8o thak tbey would be able to express an opinion on it. The. Premier said that personally he thought the request a reasonable one, : and woiiia_ lay it before the Bailway Commissioners and his colleagues, Tbe deputation consisted of the Presidents of mural local branches of the Amalgamated Society .of Bailway Servants and a number of H.H.R's, and M.L.C's.
