A Father's Opinion.
[TO THE EDITOR, W,D. TIMES,] ■ Sib,—l am sending you a Krre of two to say, Bravo I old Dmv ! You have, through tlio y J|]fe]"' columns of tho leading Wairarapa paper, spoken out hundreds of times when you have considered it "joinduty to Bay unpleasant things. But Sir, in no case that I can call to mind,, has your thoroughness more correctly voiced public opinion ji> qn your article about houses in yesteiday's Daily. It f'sa scandal and a/crying ehame that our innocent children ebould be thusassailed—because certain landlordsare not above fattening on the dire misfortune of the unfortunates. I trust, Sir, that the Committee you. suggest will be formed, and that if necessary they will not si >p short of. publishing the names of the men' who' aspire tq leading positions, and yetare not above polluting a neighbourhood if only they, can get. their rent.. I cannot exactly see why you should' expect Knights of Labour to- • prominently interfere'in'-'thia'matter,.
