Coulter, as Mr Bluffkins, the kind, hearty old gentleman, created n good impres.>ion,and acted throughout in a mastorly manner, Mr luogh, as Signor Bosanco, was also good, making the most of his part. The villimi » piece, Robert Raikes, was dly acted by Mr Ward Lyons, e manner in which he was treated by tho audience when his various acts of cruelty and rascality came to light, spoko well for his undoubted ability. The gentlemanly ruffian, OsoarHorton, the accomplice, was also very successfully acted by Mr Button, and Mr Juggcrs did fanly well as Harry Romney, although a lot more could have been made of I'm part. Tho minor characters were ably tilled, and the drama throughout woi.t oil without a hitch. The scenery was well managed, and tho burning of Raikes' cottage, in tho third act, was a splendid piece of mechanism. The company is supported by an orchestra of ten musicians, ami the overtures last evening were quilo a treat to listen to, This evening, the great Australian drama " Madame Alidas" by Fergus Huuie, will be staged in a most complete manner.
