Messrs Abraham and Williams report at their foitnightly stock dale at Pahiatua on Wednesday owing to the bail weather prevailing of late, flooded rivers, and slips on tho roads, only few entries came forward, a<l selling at firm rates. Beef cowa ma'lo £5 to £slos, light stow bullocks £4 Ifis, smell Bfppra £3lsa, store cows GO* to 80k, storo heif'-w 70s, to 85s, dairy stock £5 to £G sa, ewes in lamb 9s, best lambs 7s to 7s lid.
Mr F. H. Wood reports of the Block sale held by him at the Taratahi ■sale yards yesterday, as follows : about 1,000 (.been and 80 head of cattle were yarded. The attendance of buyers was good, and prices realised about equal to list tale, quoted as under .—Sheep : Wethers (store), 10s 7d to lis Cd; maiden ewes, 10s; ewes in lamb, 8s to 9 s 6d; lambs, 6s. Oattlo: 2-year-old stoars, 70s to 775; 18-montliß ditto, 445; heifers, 375; heifers in calf, 70s to 80s; cows, 70s to 100s. A pair of colts (unbroken), £25; filly, ditto, £l2.
