The New Zealand Team in Australia. Again Victorious: The match Now Zealand team versus 18 Juniors was played on Tuesday ufternoon, The weather was fine hut cold. Stuart kicked off for tho visitors, and for the first 20 minutes the play waskeptin the Junior twenty-five, when, by a long pass from Rutland, Bayley got over, bat Wilson failed to convert. After the ball was set going the ball was still confined to the Reds' territory, but Tanner, with a neat dribble.worked tbe ball up to the New Zealand twenty-five. Here Gage punted into neuttal territory. From the lino-out the ball was passed to Harper, who had a shot at goal, but without avail. A scrum wbb formed near the local line, and on the ball coming out McEenzie got possession of it and scored, but Wilson again failed to convert the try. A determined rush by the Reds was spoiled by Wilßon, who kioketl w/ll back into their own ground, and tho blocks swooping down, Harper got the ball and passed to Bayley, who potted a magnificent goal amidst oheerß, Halftime was ihen called—Hew Zealand, 10 points; Juniors,.nil. Shortly after resuming Harper had his nose badly injured, but be continued to play. For a time the game was very even, but Speight spoiled au easy run in his passing to Murry,who got over, but the try was disallowed. A fierce struggle took place on the Red's goal line, but the latter with a pretty rush shifted the scene of the play to the centre of the ground, where Harper, who was about the centre Hag, received a long pass and potted an unmistakable goal, New Zealand, 14 points, Juniors, nil, On resuming, Nelson made a capital run, and n lively rush ensued, in which tho Juniors looked like scoring; but tbe visitors rallied, and gradually worked the ball into their opponents' territory, when Jervis, after a good run, passed to Butland, who banded the ball on to Bayloy, tho Utter scoring an easy try, Wilson converted the try and time was called. New Zealand... 19 points. Juniors ... nil. Ellison did not play yesterday owing to receiving an injury to his knee, but he hopes to be all right in timo for Saturday's intercolonial match. Apart from the fact that tho Juniors were playing three extra men, the game was expected to bo one of tbe hottest the New Zealandore would have to play, but anticipations were all upset as tho local men were overmatched in every department, Bayley, Harper, Jervis, Gage, Hiroa, Lnmbie and Butland were most noticeable, but the visitors all played excellently and are improving with every game, Horrold has not been able to play since the Parramatta mutch through getting bia shoulder bruised.
