THE ALBU CONCERTS.

Tho Albu Concert Season opened last night in tbe Opera House, with an oxoellent altemhnco, among the audience being Lady Glasgow and a laigc party from Government Hous». A thoroughly enjoyablo programme was interpreted iu a very artistic manner, and those present were ontimsinstic in their applause. Both the Misses Albu wore repeatedly recalled. Jli-s Julio Albu possesses a flexible soprano voice of considerable power, and sings with much sweetness and finish of style, Her sister, Miss Rose Albu, also ft soprano, but who takes ihe cnntralto parts in tbe beautiful duets and trios which are interspersed throuejiiut iho programme, millers hor music n>\\ exceptional tiisto and sympathetic expression, Other members of tho Company are iMr John Fuller, a pleasing light tenor, and Mr H, K, Gunter, an accomplished accompanist who, in addition, can play an admirable pianoforte solo. The Ainu Concert Party intend visiting Masterton next week, Mr Plunkett tells tne, so you will have an opportunity of hearing somo really fine vocalists and a selection of good and popular music.
