MAURICEVILLE ROAD BOARD

Ordinary Meeting. The ordinary meeting of the Board was held on Saturday, the 24th lust. Present: Messrs 0. Forsborg, P. Anderboii, J. F. Heckler, and J. Bannistor. The minutes of the pwlous meeting were read and confirmed. The Commissioner of Crown Lands wrote, informing the Board that no part of the purchase money of sections 19, Block [I., and 13,14, Block 111., Kc Murangn, would bo returned to the HHhIJRA'Ao ' sections having beon to the'"Land Act, into iorce. He also stated that the transfur of soction 5, Block IV., Miki Miki, had not been completed, in consequence of Mr R, Olson having left the Colony for Norway. The County Clerk wrote onclosinp copy of the minntes of the late Conference of Delegates and requested the Board to make a formal application to the Council, to validate the proposed alterations in the boundary of the district In this connection tho Board refused to consent to the transfer of part Sec 118, Blk. VII., Kopuaranga, to the Upper Taueru District, owing to this property being rated for a loan,—With this exception tho Board agreed to tho alterations recommended by the Conference. It was decided after considerable discussion to striko a general rate of Jd in the £. The rato in previous years has been Jd in the £ , A small sum was authorised to be spent in putting Mangainaboe Koad in order, Accounts amounting to £236 Os 2d were passed for payment,
