MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
Committee Meeting. A meeting of the Committee of the abovo Association was held this (Wednesday) morning, at the Club Hotel. Present: Messrs A. W. Cave (in the chair), Meredith, Yates, McKenzie, Dagg, Harvey, Stewart, Stuckey, J. 1 Cameron and Welch. The minutes oi the last Committee I Meeting were not available The Secretary pointed out that this meeting as well as the election of the General Committee was . invalid, Twenty-fivemembershadbeen eleoted when the number of' Committeemen should not exceed twenty-four, ' Mr Meredith said that con Id easily be put right, and ho immediately withdrew the nomination of bis son, Mr J. M, Meredith. Mr J. Stuckey held that Mr McK ay j hod not been elected, His name was | not among those read out by the Chair- ; man when the election toot place. ■ In any case it would be better to let the matter stand over till Saturday nixt. He proposed that the filling of tho vaoaucy on tho General Committee caused by the resignation of Mr J, M, Meredith ba left to the adjourned meeting of the General Committee to be hold on Saturday next.—Seconded by Mr Yates and carried. Copies of tho Codlin Moth, Land Drainage and Stock Bills were re--eeived for consideration. A committee consisting of Messrs Meredith, Cave, Stuckey, Lowes, McKay, Harvey, Guild and D, J, Cameron were appointed to consider the bills and report at an early date, The Chairman said that in tho absence of tho minute book no further business could be done, and the Committee therefore adjourned till Saturday next, when a meeting will be held after tho adjourned meeting of members,
