Monthly Meeting.

The usual monthly meeting of the Hospital Trustees was held yesterday afternoon, there boing present—Messrs J. O. Boddington (Chairman), G. 8, W. Dalrymple, J. B, Keith, and B, P. Perry, MINUTES, The minutes of the last monthly meeting were read and confirmed.

The Treasurer (Mr W. Sellar), reported a credit balance at date of £l7O 12s 3d.

. CORRESPONDENCE. The Masterton Hospital Ball Com' mittee wrote informing the Trusiees that the sum of f-160 would be bunded ov?r to tho Hospital Instrument Fund, as a net result of tho lale Ball, so soon as the accounts taibcen audited. The Chairman taid the Ball had been a grand success, socially, as well as financiclly. As soon as the money was paid over it would be necessary to pass a hearty vote oftbanks to those who had cairied it through. Mr Dalrymple thought that it would ho advisable to pass a cordial vote of thanks at the present meeting, because by the time they met again the ladies would have Bnished with the matter and have gone their various ways, _ Mr B. P. Perry seconded the motion.

■ Messrs Keith and Boddington were loth of opinion that the proper time to pass h vote of thanks would be after the money was handed over. It would be premature at the present time.
