A largely attended public meeting Was held at Pahiatua last night, the r Mayor presiding, Resolutions wero passed urging the Government to complete the railway from Eketahuna to Woodville as earlj as poaaibio, and oalling the attontion of the Government to the large number of uneraplt&jUn tlio district. Also urging * upetnment to assist in constructing a main road OVOV the runge to Palmeraton North, and a dray track from Makuri to i'ongaroa, Other matters of local importance were also dealt with,
