The Trial Match, Tho following teams have boen selected lo take part in the trial match at Petone to-day : Wellington and South Island.— Full-back—Hobinaon (Marlborough); three-quarters—Jßaker (Wellington), Wynyard (Wolhogton), Harper (Nelson), Griffiths (Marlborough); halves -Ellison (Wellington), Butland (West Coast); forwarda-Btuai'H Wellington), McLean (Wellhißtou), Pringle(Wollington),olliver(WestCoa<it), Sigley (Nelson), Clear (Nelson), Halo (Nelson), McKenzie (Wairarapa). Northern team-Full-back—D'Arcy (Wairarapa); three-quarters- Bayley (Taranaki), A. Good (Taranaki), Robinson (Manawatu;; halves—Shannon (Manawatu), Gage (Wellington); for-wards-Hudson (Wairarapa), Gray (Wairarapa), Watson (Wairarapa), Tairoa (Hawke's Bay), Lambie (Taranaki), H. The Wellington team will play in Poneke and Athletic Club colours, and the northern team in the Wellington representative colours (all black),.
