MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
Monthly Meeting. Tho ordinary monthly meoting of the Masterton School Committee was held on Monday evening, there being present-Messrs E, feist (Chairman), Wagg, Eastliope, Pragnell, Hoar, Morris and Graham. MINUTES. The minates of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. treasurer's report, The Treasurer reported that the capitation received for the quarter was £2O, expenditure £5 19s 6s leaving a credit balance of £l7 Is lid. GENERAL. The Chairman reported that the Board had decided to refer tho Com mittees application for a new clas room to the Inspector. REPORTS. Thobeadleacherreported as follows: —Number of scholars on roll GO2 j average attendance 458; percentage 81. The Board's Carpenter commenced (he repairs on the 25th ulto. And finished on the Bth instant. The Mistress of the infant's school reported that the number of children on the roll was 105, with an average attendance of 89. Padlocks had beou placed on the gaOa by Mr Byford, and permission had been granted to put his horse in the paddock onThursIda; and Sunday evenings. ACCOUNTS, I The following accounts were passed for payment :-W, Pragnell, £6 18s 3d; Hounslow 4 Hoar, £l, ABSENTEES. A list of Absentees was read and the Committee decided to send the usual notioes.
