; A most successful, entertainment was given iu the; Foresters'ilall. last evening, in. aid of St Luke's Church Building Fund, at which there was an exceptionally largo attendance. The first and third-.parts were the same »3 given soma Jittlo time ago by Mrs B. A. Butcher's pupils, viz, The quarrel, scene ,-from the opera of ' Madame. Angot' and the. cantata, ■' Five O'C.lock Tea," ■ The .- second part was a drama untitled 1 Oh, what a Surprise I' The whole, affair waa carried out in n most satisfactory and praiseworthy manner, and .kept the. audience in rapiurea throughout. The stage looked very pre Sty, decorated with ccstly and beautiful furniture, which was kindly' lent for the.occasion. The costumes, worn in the : !>arioae part3. ; w.ere alßO:iYery, rich/.a&d ; handsome?'
