FOOTBALL.

Tradesmen's Club. [By Damocles,] A well-attended mfltting of footballers was held in the Club Hotel, last evening, for the purpose of form, ing a tradesmen's Club, in connection with the Thur^iyhulf-boliday. Mr Nat Hooper was voted to tho chair. It was unanimously decided to form a olub, to bo called "The Tradesmen's football Club," the annual subscription to be fia. The following gentlemen were elected lor the offices of the Club : IVesidont.MrT.D. Thompson; VicePresidents, Messrs L. J. Hooper, J. Macara, L. Caselborg, C. A, Powuall, A.A.Elkius, A. W. Cave, E. M.D. Whatman, and J. C. Walker. Captain—Mr T. H. Thompson; vice captain, T. Hudsou, Bee and Treasurer, Mr Nat Hoopor; Matcb C'ommitteo, Messrs J. C. Ewington, N. Owen, T, Hudson, Captain and Secretary. ' The colors of the Club were decided to be red and black.

The first practice will bo held on Thursday week. Tho following members woro enrolled :—Messra T. Thompson, N. Hooper, 0, Ewington, T. Hudson, E. Welch, J. Mandel.R, Scott, N.
