MANGAONE VALLEY NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent),
There had been a great growth of grass during tho past month in this district, the weather having been moist and mild, so that old pastures and new grass alike have had a splendid chance. JBufc the continued wet weather is trying to the feet of tho sheep.
| Mr Welch, the District Rabbit Inspector, gavo us a look up here last week, and advised us to tako" a stitch in time," and give no peaco to what few rabbits there are about hore, It is to be hoped his advice will bo followed, Tenders aro called for a bcliool out hero; and very welcomo it will be to somo of tho youngsters who now have to walk nearly fivo miles.
